Scott Womack, President of Womack Restaurants and IHOP franchisee, announced today that he will open an IHOP restaurant in Chillicothe, OH, in October 2008. The new restaurant, located at 10 Consumer Place Drive, is the Company’s first IHOP location in Ohio. Womack also owns eight IHOPs throughout Indiana. The elected franchisees and their voting districts are: Chris Milisci, Mountain; Scott Womack, Midwest; Bob Sharp, Mid Atlantic; and Ramzi Hakim, Southwest. Local IHOP franchisee, Womack Restaurants/IHOP, is slated to develop 17 new IHOPs in Dayton and Columbus, Ohio, and has chosen Patrick O’Leary to head the development effort. To read the full story, click here.
Published: July 5, 2006 Franchisee to open IHOP in Dayton IHOP Corp. will open 17 restaurants in Columbus and Dayton during the next 12 years. The Glendale, Calif.-based pancake house said Wednesday it signed a contract with franchisee Womack Restaurants Inc., through which Scott Womack operates six IHOP's in Indiana. Womack has been an IHOP franchisee for 16 years. IHOP (NYSE:IHP), which stands for International House of Pancakes, operates 25 restaurants in Ohio, but none currently in the Dayton area. IHOP had a location on Shiloh Springs Road, but closed the restaurant in 1989. "Three years ago, we didn't have any Ohio locations ... and we're excited to be coming back to Dayton," said Patrick Lenow, IHOP spokesman. The company operates more than 1,200 pancake houses nationwide and posted $348 million in revenue in 2005.
